The Balearics is forecast to be hit by the tail end of the extreme weather front which is currently causing chaos in the United Kingdom.
Palma.—While here in the Balearics we should be able to enjoy a Christmas Eve basking in the sun shine today, the mainland will be hit by an extreme weather front which will make its way across the country to the Balearics tonight and strike with its full force. Many parts of the mainland have been put on code yellow and orange, level one and two, weather alerts with torrential rain and gale force winds reaching 120 kilometres an hour expected to batter the whole country tomorrow.
But, the good news is that snow is forecast at 1,000 metres so, with the extreme weather front due to have gone come Boxing Day, we may be able to enjoy some festive snow.
