Coroner is critical of holiday death probe

STAFF REPORTER

CAMBRIDGE
A British coroner has criticised the Majorcan judge involved in the case of a Cambridge mother who drowned after her daughter was seriously injured in a fall from the balcony of their holiday hotel.

South and West Cambridgeshire coroner David Morris recorded a narrative verdict of drowning while experiencing an acute psychotic episode on 45-year-old Sara Cooper.

The court heard that Mrs Cooper drowned hours after her seven-year-old daughter Gianna fell from a balcony at the Hotel Samoa in Calas de Mallorca during October 2007.
