Last night, the Majorcan Tourist Board celebrated its 108th anniversary and its annual awards ceremony at La CaixaForum in Palma.
Palma.—The ceremony was presided over by the President of the Majorcan Tourist Board, Eduardo Gamero and the President of the Balearics, Jose Ramon Bauza while guests included local dignitaries and leading members of the tourist industry and friends of the Tourist Board.
One gold medal was awarded posthumously to Marilen Pol, the former President of the Majorcan Hotel Federation, with two others going to Juan Miguel Caldentey, in recognition of his dedicated work in the world of tourism and the German Foreign Minister, Guido Westerwell who has enjoyed a very close relationship with the island for many years.
