THE court rooms in the Via Alemania were evacuated yesterday morning because of a bomb hoax.
A phone call was received at 12.20pm, in which a man warned that a bomb would go off at 1.20pm.
The building was evacuated immediately and court officials and workers had to spend an hour in the street as police moved into action, checking the building with the aid of sniffer dogs. The workers were allowed to move back into the building at 1.40pm after no bomb was found and it was declared to be a hoax. Efforts will now be made to trace the call.
