INVESTIGATIONS are to be made into whether the private data of patients in Inca District Hospital have been made available to the local council's ruling Partido Popular for election purposes, the Balearic Ministry for Health reported yesterday.
A media report has confirmed that every couple of weeks, patient data is provided to Inca's Health Councillor so that those in need of further institutional help can receive back-up visits.
Health Minister, Vicenç Thomas claimed that if findings do indeed show that information about patients has been leaked to the Partido Popular on Inca Council it would be a highly serious situation and steps would need to be taken to ensure it is stopped.
