Palma.—Today, the Balearics will continue to breach the one million cruise passenger mark when Palma welcomes six liners, including the Queen Victoria, on board which will be an estimated 13,000 passengers.
According to a report published yesterday by the State Port Authority, the Balearics’ five ports handled 998,084 passengers during the first eight months of the year and that figure will rise sharply today.
The reports reveal that between January and August, Balearic ports handled a total of 435 cruise ships, 15.4 percent more than during the same period last year, making the Balearics the second most popular cruise destination in Spain.
