PIERS Morgan, who is poised to take over from Larry King on CNN, has recently been on the island to interview Andrew Lloyd Webber for a forthcoming ITV special.
Morgan spent a day with Webber at his home in Deya, which Britain's most successful composer bought a few years ago.
On his blog, Morgan writes that he had a delightful time in Deya. I stood next to him as he sat at a small white piano and showed me how he composed numerous hits from musicals such as Phantom Of The Opera, Evita and Cats. It was a fascinating, spine-tingling experience to watch one of the great musical geniuses of my lifetime at work, he wrote.
