PALMA
POLICE and staff at a Palma Airport cafe have been praised for the professional way they helped tourists that had lost bags and vital possessions whilst visiting the island.
The two separate incidents could have caused immense distress and inconvenience for the visitors, but because of the help from island Good Samaritans, they were able to enjoy their holidays.
Jan Parsons, of Thames Ditton, Surrey, said she had lost a handbag at a cafe underneath the airport's multi-storey car park.
But she did not realise her mistake until 40 minutes later when she had arrived at her destination of the Port of Soller. A friend telephoned the cafe and staff confirmed that the bag had been handed in and they were keeping it safe.
The tourist rushed back to the airport from Port of Soller in a taxi to retrieve the bag.
