SITTING in an airport lounge watching holiday reps deal with shirty customers during a lengthy flight delay has inspired author Peter Kerr to pen his latest novel.
The Gannet Has Landed is an entertaining tale of a young Scottish veterinary student who is transported to Majorca for a long, hot summer to work as a rep. It covers the trials and tribulations of the central character Doogie O'Mara, as he deals with drug-pushers, a colleague's young son and the attentions of a beautiful Majorcan girl.
Peter, who farmed in Andratx before returning to the UK, has written a series of books about Majorca life, including Snowball Oranges, Manaña Manaña and detective novels Bob Burns Investigates.
