A BAN on ticket touts and workers tempting tourists into bars in south coast resorts is being repeatedly flouted.
Despite Calvia Council's ruling to outlaw the on-street PR workers at the start of the year, visitors to Magalluf and Palmanova are still being hassled as they walk through the resorts.
Several bars in Magalluf's Punta Ballena have been hit with temporary closures and heavy fines after undercover police trapped the illegal workers. However, many bars are now side-stepping the law by using workers to pose as holidaymakers and approach tourists as they walk along.
