PALMA
TAPAS restaurants in Palma are taking steps to make things easier and quicker for their clients next month, when bicycles will be rented free of charge to those wanting to follow the Tapalma gastronomy routes around the city.
The fourth food festival of its kind is returning to Palma between 8th and 12th October this year when enthusiasts will be able to select from five tapas trails around the city on which 45 establishments will be offering tasting plates for around one or two euros each. Jordi Cabrer, president of the Balearic Foundation for Sustainable Developmetn, said yesterday that those wanting to embark on the scheme can pick the rent-free biccycles up in Plaza España, calle Antoni Maura and Plaza de la Reina. At each point, there will be between 20 and 25 bicycles available from 7pm until midnight.
