Majorca hosts first annual International Philanthropic Summit

MAJORCA will this weekend host the first annual International Philanthropic Summit and acclaimed actress and philanthropist Eva Longoria will join children's advocate and founder of Children Uniting Nations, Daphna Edwards Ziman, and the Playing for Good Foundation to host the first global event.

The groundbreaking philanthropic summit will bring together a prestigious group of international celebrities, renowned philanthropists and executives for a series of exclusive charity events and roundtable discussions to raise funds and awareness for children and families in need around the world. The Playing for Good Foundation, established in 2006 by entrepreneurs Constantin A. Dietrich, Jan Stoltze, philanthropists Maria Bravo and Scott Lazerson, was created to provide a unique platform combining social interaction and entertainment with social commitment and responsibility. The foundation's objective is to bring together the worlds of business, celebrity and charity on a global scale to benefit selected charitable organisations.. “We are very happy to have Eva chairing our Summit with so much enthusiasm” said Constantin A. Dietrich. The three day Summit will feature a variety of events and activities including a Beach Club Pool Party Reception at the Dorint Hotel featuring exclusive live performances from Grammy-Award winning recording artist John Legend and crossover classical phenomenon Katherine Jenkins. Guests will also enjoy a two day Celebrity-Amateur Golf Tournament that will raise additional funds for this year's charities. On Friday evening, attendees will enjoy an elegant oceanside VIP reception at the beach featuring performances by recording artist and pianist William Joseph and breakout British singer-songwriter Jamie Cullum. A major highlight of the innovative summit will be The Globalisation of Philanthropy roundtable discussion which will unite more than 15 of the most influential philanthropists in the world.

The event will conclude with the “Pueblo Español” black-tie gala celebration and awards presentation. The “Philanthropic Awards” will be presented to The Hawn Foundation, ASPANOB, Spread the Net, Millennium Promise and Keep a Child Alive.
