Channel 4's Embarrassing Bodies to hit Magalluf

By H. Carter

PALMA
CHANNEL 4's Embarrassing Bodies is back with four prime-time specials focusing this time on teenagers that will be broadcast as part of Channel 4's forthcoming high profile health season and next weekend, the series will be filming in Magalluf.

Channel 4 will be bringing their series' three doctors, Dr. Christian Jessen, Dr. Dawn Harper and Dr. Pixie McKenna to Majorca and they want teenagers to tell them about their health concerns, unusual body conditions, their growing problems and how this all affects them physically and emotionally.

According to the series' researchers, British teenagers, either on holiday or living in Majorca, are reluctant to go to the doctor to talk about their health , so they have decided to bring the doctors to them here in Majorca.

The producers, Maverick TV, hope that the teens series, like the main programme which attracted an average of three million viewers each day and received widespread praise for its matter-of-fact approach and public service values, serves to remove the stigma associated with talking about medical issues, educate teenagers in all matters relating to their health issues or worries and be a positive informative programme. Obviously, all those who wish to take part must be aged under 19 and the producers are also looking for teens, individuals or groups, who may be interested in getting involved in the programme's awareness campaigns.

On the Saturday, the producers will be filming fun activities such as experiments, quizzes and stunts, in Magalluf and on the Sunday, the doctors will be running a drop-in clinic on the beach where teenagers will be able to meet the medical team for a free consultation which may be accompanied by follow up treatment in the United Kingdom if required.
