Spanish take less holidays than other Europeans, apparently

SOME 76 percent of Spaniards have less than two weeks holiday and, among Europeans, they are those who have the least holiday according to a new survey. On the other hand, the French and the Germans are those who have the longest Summer holidays and travel most, according to a survey done by “lastminute.com”. The majority of Europeans want adventure holidays and it is their absolute priority to explore new worlds.
The only exception to this is the Germans, some 72 percent of whom want to have a quiet time and to relax during their summer holiday period.
With regard to the holiday companions that each traveller chooses, some 64 percent of Spaniards go on holiday with their family, mainly partners and children. This is general throughout Europe, although some 30 percent of Italians choose friends to go on holiday with.
PRICE
Lastly, the survey reveals that the Spanish are those who are most influenced by price when choosing a holiday destination.
Some 24 percent of those questioned admitted to this, putting the Spanish just ahead of the French for price priority. Some 19 percent of Germans apparently want culture on their holiday above everything else. The other 81 percent tend to elect one place to use as a base from which to travel around and explore the region they are visiting. The survey took the opinions of more than 13'000 users from eight different countries. These were: Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Germany, Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
