NO flights were delayed by yesterday's industrial action in Palma airport.
That was according to AENA, the company that runs the airport.
However, Josep Juarez, a spokesman for the CGT union, which organised yesterday's work stoppage, said that some flights were cancelled, others were delayed and some left without baggage.
Juarez said the action had the clear support of the majority of the baggage handlers despite a boycott by the CCOO, USO and UGT (also unions). He added that the CGT would compile an inventory of the irregularities carried out by Acciona, the company that operates the baggage handling service in Palma.
