ONLY 4´000 BRITONS ELIGIBLE TO VOTE IN THE EUROPEAN ELECTIONS IN THE BALEARICS

MORE European Union residents in the Balearics have registered to vote in the June European Elections than any other region in Spain.
A total of 728'433 people will go to the polls here in the Balearics in June and 15'505 (2.12 percent) will be non-Spanish EU citizens. Only Valencia, according to the latest figures published by the National Statistics Institute, comes close with a 2'05 percent EU-resident share of the electorate.

Campaigning will get underway towards the end of next month which is when it will become apparent whether the political parties here in the Balearics are counting on the votes of the non-Spanish EU citizens.

A total of 4'026 British residents have registered to vote. The Germans top the poll with a 4'848-strong electorate.
