PALMA'S municipal bus company, EMT, announced yesterday that it is to install another 25 information panels at bus stops which are most used by passengers along key routes within the city.
The flashing red information panels, already in evidence at key interchanges around the city, (for example, Plaza España) advise those waiting at bus stops which routes are due to pick up and set down at those points and in how many minutes the next service is expected. The company will also continue to update timetable information in the form of posters at the most frequently used stop-off points around the city. With the addition of new bus routes in public service, for example the No. 25 commonly known as The Arenal Express, it has been necessary to amend services to passenger notices.
An alternative for travellers is to consult the EMT website, clicking on the Muévate por Palma section, which shows all the routes through the city.
