Palma City Council will remove pay parking previously in force along Avenida Joan Miró between Marivent and the Calanova sailing club from 1st November to 31st March.
Municipal sources said yesterday that the reason for the elimination of ORA managed parking during this period comes in response to a request from the San Agustin Neighbourhood Association. The City Council's Transport department said that in the winter months, there is very little income from pay parking, with occupancy registered in the low season at between 17 and 20 percent. Between the end of this month and 31st March, the Council will update the pay parking facilities in the area.
