Palma.The hostelry unions and management have agreed to resume talks on Tuesday after yesterday's meeting ended in deadlock.
For the moment three days of strikes are programmed for July 20'21 and 22.
The hostelry sector on July 20 and then two days of industrial action by coach drivers.
But, yesterday UGT general workers' union sources said little progress had been made. In fact it looks like we've gone backwards, said the UGT's Antonio Copete. The Unions are holding out for a 2.9 percent pay rise, but the management are sticking to 0.5 percent, which the unions will not accept.
Over the weekend, the committee of arbitration will be in contact with both sides ahead of the next meeting, but a solution was looking unlikely last night and strike action set to go ahead.
