The three marinas in the municipality of Calvia (Puerto Portals, Port Adriano and Puerto de Santa Ponsa) are fully occupied, a situation which is expected to continue until mid-September. Ricardo Ferrer, who is in charge of Port Adriano (in El Toro), said that although all the berths were taken, there had been a drop in demand at restaurants, shops and port installations, which he put between 20 and 25 per cent. Fuel consumption was similar to last year. He added that there was a shortage of berths, and every day boats were turned away. Pablo Roca of Puerto de Santa Ponsa said that there had been a drop in the number of visitors who do not have boats. Pablo Eraso of Puerto Portals said that the season did not offer any great changes regarding occupation or consumption of fuel, electricity or water, but he added that weather had led to a drop in activity.
