Palma airport authority said yesterday that passenger traffic this Easter is expected to be 19 per cent less than during the Easter holidays last year. During Easter week, Son San Joan airport will be handling 318.000 passengers, much less than last year. Air traffic will also be 16 per cent down on 2001 with the busiest day being Sunday, March 31, when 65.900 passengers are expected to fly in and out on board 540 flights. Airport figures for January have recently been released. The first four weeks of the year saw a 27 per cent drop in Germans in Majorca compared with just a nine per cent fall in Britons. In Minorca, the number of Britons rose by 22 per cent.
