The majority of complaints received by Calvia Council are from foreign tourists. Calvia councillors heard ombudsman Antoni Pallicer yesterday present his report, published last month, for 2000. According to the data, 42 per cent of complaints received by the town hall were from foreign residents, for whom, according to the report, complaining is more characteristic to their culture. Of the 186 complaints logged, 110 were resolved. Pallicer told councillors that the report concludes that residents believe that there is too much tourism in the municipality and that the construction sector is damaging the area.
