Palma City council yesterday unveiled the fourth and apparently final, draft of the design for the city's new look sea front running from the Cathedral, past the GESA building and along towards El Molinar. The plans reveal a complete overhaul for the area, which for any visitor is the first impression of Palma and over the past few years has crumbled in to an eyesore highlighted by rows of huge advertising boards, blots on the landscape the city council would like to do away with. The city council yesterday presented the final draft at a special planning meeting and the project will involve an ambitious transformation of the Llevant part of the city. For some of the large companies, such as GESA, whose building guards the entrance to the city along the motorway from the airport, it will mean having to relocate while its offices are renovated.
