It has now been eleven days since 39-year-old British tourist Jeffrey Hodgson was last seen in Ibiza, but his mother Sheryl yesterday vowed that she and her husband Derek have no intention of returning home to Stockport without him. Sheryl was still optimistic yesterday, explaining that the arrival of a highly trained voluntary search team from the United Kingdom has boosted their spirits. The team of two specially trained dogs and their handlers flew in to Ibiza on Wednesday and, in co-operation with a Guardia Civil dog team, joined the hunt immediately. I have to say I am so pleased they are here and the working relationship between the Spanish police and the British team is so good, it has lifted our hopes slightly, Sheryl told the Bulletin yesterday afternoon. The teams of dogs set out on another search assisted by teams of British holidaymakers who have been helping the search since Sunday, July 8, the day Jeffrey disappeared. Sheryl explained that Jeffrey suffers from epilepsy and is mentally ill.
