Security is being tightened up for the next Royal visit to Majorca which will occur towards the end of July. A brand new, top-of-the-range speedboat has been unveiled in the Porto Pi boatyard, which will be responsible for guarding the Royals on the water as they take part in the Copa del Rey cruiser regatta later this month. The National Police presence on the Island for the Royal visit will be bigger than ever before. There will be heightened presence of Guardia Civil and the family will be surrounded with protection for the duration of their stay. Each year when the Royal Family visits Majorca, the presence of protection increases dramatically. The Island is a haven for the family, who regularly attend sailing events and compete.
