Calvia Council yesterday announced its summer operation plan aimed at enforcing law and order and ensuring an incident-free holiday season. The summer operation was presented by the deputy mayor Manel Suárez, who pointed out that this season, the Council will also be keeping a close watch on the water situation and foret fires. The general purpose of the summer operations is to ensure that tourists and residents will have an enjoyable summer. Over the next few months, there will be a greater deployment of police on the streets and a greater level of communication between the local police, the Council, residents and the commercial sector in order to ensure thay all the needs of the community are being met.
