The high speed passenger catamaran Milenium, which was involved in a collision with a super yacht just off the Port of Andratx last summer, yesterday collided with the pleasure cruiser Timar in the Port of Barcelona at the end of a crossing from Palma. The injured, three Belgian tourists on board the pleasure boat, escaped lightly in comparison to those injured on board the British registered super yacht in Majorcan waters last year - none needed hospital treatment. The accident happened as the Milenium, which was inspected by Queen Elizabeth II at the Tasmanian shipyard where the high-speed catamarans are built during her last visit to Australia, at 11 a.m. when the bow of Milenium collided with the stern of the golodrine Timar, which was moored along the Ramblas as passengers boarded her for a tour round the port. One of the quay workers who witnessed the accident, said that the catamaran's warning siren did not sound and Milenium did not appear to be suffering any problems in docking. The eyewitness said that the collision caught everybody by surprise.
