The 17-year-old who died on Sunday morning in Palma's Son Dureta hospital as a result of a suspected narcotics-world shooting on Saturday night, was shot twice, according to the autopsy results released yesterday. While police established on Sunday that the teenager has been shot in the head after a violent beating, the victim was also shot in the arm. The autopsy has also confirmed a point of entry and exit on the body of both shots, which means that establishing the type and calibre of pistol used is going to prove difficult for detectives. There were no witnesses to the killing, but police, who have ruled out any connection between the 17-year-old's death and that of two Chinese men on the Son Banya estate in January, have been carrying out interviews. One of the key people to the crime, or crimes is however expected to be the 17-year-old's uncle, who is the only person currently being held in custody in connection with the Son Banya double shooting over a cocaine shipment. Police have questioned neighbours in the Son Gotleu area of the capital, where the teenager was shot and found, and police sources have said that they suspect the killing was drugs related and possibly a settling of a score.
