Already hundreds of local extras have been used.

Filming of the British production for Channel Four The Sword of Honour is rolling along on schedule in Majorca and the production unit now moves to the South of the island for next week's location shoots. Already hundreds of local extras have been used, but some of the most spectacular scenes for the two-part World War II period drama are to be filmed towards the end of the month and some of the scenes involve over 200 extras. Over the next week a variety of locations in the south of the island will provide the backdrop for wartime scenes of the drama set in the Egyptian city of Alexandria, West Africa, a Cretian fishing village and the French countryside. The production company, working with local facilities company Palma Pictures, is extremely happy with how filming is going in Majorca and said yesterday that the atmosphere is ideal.
