The Spanish Pizza Championship, the annual contest that crowns the best pizza in the country, has revealed its results for the Balearic Islands, with Mallorca completely dominating the podium. After intense judging that combined public opinion and professional jury assessments, the island's three most outstanding pizzas have been announced.
Claiming the top spot is Sapore di Napoli in Campos, with their DolceVita pizza, a creation that has impressed judges with its perfect combination of ingredients and careful preparation. This winning entry was born from a desire to transform everyday dining into a unique experience. Inspired by Italian tradition and the art of unhurried enjoyment, it reflects a masterful balance between technique, flavour and emotion.
In second place comes Más que Pizza in Porto Cristo, with their Pizza Terra Mia, a pizza with authentic flavour and pronounced Mediterranean character that has won over both diners and judges alike. It's crafted by Italian professionals in the sector with hospitality school training and specialised pizza-making courses.
Completing the podium, Il Postino in Palma stands out with their Puerto Alcudia with charcoal dough, a more innovative proposal that surprises with its dark, light base, bringing a different touch to the island's traditional pizza repertoire. It combines the intensity of Mallorcan sobrasada with the smoothness of goat cheese and mozzarella, the natural sweetness of dates and the crunchy touch of walnuts, all on a base of artisanal tomato sauce finished with a scent of Mediterranean oregano.
With these distinctions, Mallorca establishes itself as the pizza epicentre of the Balearics, with offerings ranging from the purest Italian tradition to innovative creations that make a difference. The result reflects not only the quality of these pizzerias but also the diversity and creativity that the island offers in the gastronomic field, making it clear that Mallorca has much to contribute to Spain's pizza landscape.
