The dear old BBC is in trouble once again but is this a case of one mistake too many? To make an enemy of Mr. Fake News himself is not good and the possibility of a one billion dollar lawsuit from the President of the United States will ensure that the BBC will have a place in history. It all could have been avoided if the BBC had issued an apology a year ago, but no, they said nothing and now the organisation is facing a rather difficult future.
The problem is that broadcasting is changing and the streaming platforms are effectively leaders, having knocked the likes of the BBC into second place. The BBC should have made the hugely successful The Crown series not Netflix. The BBC should be showing live sports, especially if these involve the national teams, not satellite or streaming networks.
The BBC should play a greater role in teaching young people about Britain’s history. The BBC should be investing in quality productions instead of paying its presenters many thousands of pounds. Does Britain need the BBC with its expensive licence fee? To be honest, probably not. The days of the BBC are probably coming to an end, well at least in its present form. Who is to blame? The BBC of course. They have made many enemies who will be the first to put the boot in and they only have themselves to blame.
