The next step in former Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola's long and distinguished career is to play former Wimbledon champion Andy Murray at golf in Mallorca. The island's very own tennis ace, Rafa Nadal will also be taking part.
Between 10 June and 12 June, the Pula Golf Resort and the Son Servera Golf Club will host a new edition of the charity tournament *The Battle of Stars*, which this year will once again feature Rafa Nadal, the greatest Spanish sportsman of all time, alongside some of the biggest names in the history of the World Cup, the start of which will coincide with the start of the competition in Mallorca.
The Battle of Stars will bring together, amongst others, several of the finest footballers and managers of recent decades, including Pep Guardiola, Bernd Schuster, Álvaro Morata, Alain Boghossian, Roberto Donadoni, Uli Stielike, Christian Panucci, Pepe Reina, Gianfranco Zola and Javier Clemente.
Beyond football, The Battle of Stars will bring together world champions from other disciplines, such as Olympic basketball medallist Rudy Fernández, two-time Wimbledon winner Andy Murray, world handball champion Christian Schwarzer, Spanish racing driver Cristina Gutiérrez, and Norwegian Johannes Klæbo, considered the greatest cross-country skier in history.
Figures from the worlds of fashion, bullfighting and beyond, including Verónica Mengod, Laura Matamoros, Pepín Liria, influencer Paddy Noarbe and Liz Emiliano, the tournament’s most recent winner, will also be taking part at Pula Golf and Son Servera in an exciting edition of The Battle of Stars, with several surprises yet to be revealed.
