Pierce Brosnan is currently in Mallorca filming the series Mobland, a professional engagement that the actor is also using to explore the island. One of his recent outings included a visit to La Posada de Valldemossa restaurant, as the establishment itself revealed on Friday via social media. A photograph shared by the restaurant shows Brosnan posing with members of staff, accompanied by the caption: “A very special visit to La Posada: Pierce Brosnan with our team.”
The actor was joined by fellow members of the production team and one of his sons. Temel Baklan, owner of both La Posada de Valldemossa and the Troya restaurant, said Brosnan was warm and approachable with the kitchen and waiting staff. The group sampled a selection of starters, including croquettes, calamari, Padrón peppers, meatballs and prawns, along with traditional pa amb oli. They opted for a Mallorcan white wine from Bodegas Ángel in Binissalem and finished the meal with crema catalana.
La Posada is known for its charcoal-grilled meats, as well as its extensive range of appetisers and salads. One of its standout features is its setting within the Palace of King Sancho, which boasts a panoramic terrace offering sweeping views of the Serra de Tramuntana, as highlighted in the image posted on Instagram.
This is not the first time Brosnan has been seen on the island. Earlier this week, he visited Palma Cathedral, accompanied by Pere Oliver, canon for Liturgy at the Seu, who guided him through the building’s historical, artistic and liturgical significance. Brosnan was described as attentive and engaged throughout the tour, showing particular interest in the contemporary elements that sit alongside the cathedral’s Gothic architecture.
Prior to the cathedral visit, Brosnan and his co-star Helen Mirren toured the Fundació Miró Mallorca. The pair explored key spaces such as the Estrella Building and the Sert Studio, gaining an insight into the environments where Joan Miró’s creative spirit remains vividly present.
