Diandra Luker, former wife of Michael Douglas, has married William Legge, the 10th Earl of Dartmouth. The couple exchanged their wedding vows in Gibraltar last week, according to the British newspaper Daily Mail. “It was a small, private ceremony at the Gibraltar registry office with only one or two guests,” the publication reported. William, 76, was also the stepbrother of Diana, Princess of Wales, as his mother, Raine Spencer, married her father, John, the 8th Earl Spencer.
In addition, this British noble represented Gibraltar as a Member of the European Parliament and holds the titles of Viscount Lewisham and Baron Dartmouth. Legge was previously married to model Fiona Campbell and is the father of Gerald Glen, from a relationship with producer Claire Kavanagh. Diandra, meanwhile, was married to Michael Douglas from 1977 to 1995, and they have a son together, Cameron. She is also the mother of twins with financier Zach Bacon III and has an adopted daughter named Imara.
The producer has long-standing ties to Mallorca, having spent her summers on the island since childhood. She shared this love of the island with Michael during their relationship, as it was she who introduced him to Mallorca in the late 1980s. Shortly afterwards, they jointly purchased s’Estaca, the historic estate of Archduke Lluís Salvador in Valldemossa, where they entertained the crème de la crème of the film world for several decades. Guests included actresses such as Goldie Hawn and Joan Collins, NBA coach Pat Riley, and their close friends Danny DeVito and Jack Nicholson.
The estate was purchased in 1990 for $3.5 million (approximately €3.2 million), and although Douglas first tried to sell it for $60 million in 2014 and later for $32 million in 2019, he eventually withdrew it from the property market and bought out his ex-wife’s share of the estate. “It wasn’t pleasant for anyone to share it,” Michael admitted in 2021. He is now often seen enjoying s’Estaca and the charms of the island with his current wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones.
With this marriage, 69-year-old Diandra embarks on a new chapter of her life connected to the British aristocracy.
