Dear Sir,
To fully appreciate my observations readers will need to resuscitate Tuesday's Daily B. It features photographs of PM Cameron’s flash visit to the flash floods of Northwest England. It shows him in ‘up and at it’ poses. Tieless in a black jacket with turned up collar and hair just a smidging askew a la James Dean. He is seen framed by the extensive flood waters. His audience seemed hand-picked: whether the female police inspector, the young army officers or the ordinary workers with shovels at the ready. With his hands open and akimbo he appears to be demonstrating to them exactly what they really need to be doing.
I learned from TV’s Yes Prime Minister that politicians will kill for the right photo-op. These are not random snap shots but seem staged. Wouldn’t having the PM in listening mode be both more appropriate and less risible?

Playa de Palma
Dear Sir,
My mum and I were on holiday in Palma in September and every day received a free copy of your Daily Bulletin at our hotel (Tryp Bosque). I don’t usually bother with newspapers on holiday but every day I looked forward to getting the Bulletin. It was very informative and had lots of interesting articles/news. It was great to know what was going on and also daily updates on cruise ships, etc.
Well done to you and your team. We hope to visit your island again but in the meantime I’ll follow you online.
Kind regards,
Gail
