Dear Sir,
I would like to let your readers know of a Free superb facility being offered to disabled residents and holidaymakers in Cala Bona.
Son Severa Council has introduced a scheme whereby the disabled can enjoy a swim in the sea, which before might have been impossible for them.
Trained staff assist people to get across the Beach in special Buggies and into the sea. You are watched all the time you are in the sea.
There are special toilets and showers. I had a leg amputated 8 months ago, and I thought my swimming days were over but now due to this scheme, I have something to look forward to every day. The Beach is opposite Paula’s Supermarket, and the facility is open from 10 a.m.--1 pm.from Mon. --Sat., so please use it, or we could lose it.

Dear Editor
I am writing to you in desperation!. What is happening to tourists visiting the Puerto Alcudia area of Majorca? My daughter has just returned from a nightmare holiday. On the morning of 21/6/15 she discovered that she and her friend had been robbed in their hotel apartment of all their cash, but there was no sign of a break -in. The thieves must have had a copy of the master key. We reported the incident immediately to the apartments management team and was told they would not take responsibility as the money was not placed in the room safe. However, the holiday representative informed them that there had been four other robberies in the area and another reported on the same day in the same apartments. Several days later another robbery occurred in the same place. On arrival to the apartments the management did not advise visitors to use the safe and that there was also a 5 euro deposit charge for a key. If they really cared about their guests surely this should have been mentioned from the start. The apartments should have been made more secure. Even though the incident was reported to the police, the robberies are still happening and will probably continue for the rest of the season unless the crime in the area is taken seriously by the local police. I am an avid reader of the Majorca Daily Bulletin and after reading your article entitled Crime watch by Gerry Mulligan’ thought I should inform your readers of what is happening to visitors to the Island. My mother has just sold her apartment in the area. We have all been visiting Alcudia since my daughter was 10 months old, we love Majorca and have Spanish friends that we visit every year in Palma. If you need to see other visitors views, just take a look on the Trip Advisor website for this particular apartment complex, and the comments from the hotel management, offering no apology. If you feel Magalluf and Palmanova has a problem, I feel there is a serious problem in Alcudia.
Kind regards
