A GLORIOUS SUNDAY

By Jason Moore
Imade the rather stupid mistake of wearing my England rugby jersey on Sunday when I cleaned my little boat on the Paseo Maritimo. Not only did I have half the passenger population of a visiting cruise ship want to talk about the match, I was asked for a full match analysis by two South Africans and a couple of Spaniards walked by wishing England luck in the final. All-in-all a glorious Sunday morning and it is not often that you get the opportunity to celebrate England´s success. And what about the match? Another great performance by England...it was also the first time that I have seen an English team (bar the rugby boys) actually come back into the game when they were trailing. When it comes to football it is usually the other way around. Now, all the attention is on the final and hopefully another glorious Sunday is on the cards.

Car Boot sale
IF you have never been to the Consell car boot sale...you don`t know what you are missing. It is great fun and also on my recent trip on Sunday I find that prices had also been slashed. If you are stuck on a Sunday it is a great morning out.. The local bar also appears to do a rather good menu of the day. And finally in this space I have often moaned about shops not opening on a Sunday. Well, all the shops were open at Festival Park on Sunday and funnily enough it was packed. There were shoppers everywhere. The reasons they can open though is that it has been classed as a tourist centre. Why can´t the centre of Palma do the same. I am sure that it would be a major success.
