Carriage horses in poor condition

Dear Sir,
We have just returned from a two-week holiday on Majorca. We both found the Daily Bulletin very interesting.
One interesting letter regarding the poor condition of the carriage horses in Palma caught our eye. One poor creature would have had our local R.S.P.C.A. inspector slapping a cruelty order on the owner. The animal was just skin and bones. Is there no inspector to check these creatures regularly? The “war of words” over the “Centro Canino”: the residents who object really appal us. Have they no “heart” regarding these unfortunate creatures? Would they object similarly to a home for battered wives or orphaned children? I doubt that very much. Good luck to the caring animal people in Majorca. We wish them all the best.

Re: Calvia “ECO CRIME” SEÑOR Manchado appears to be “clutching at straws” for things to criticise re: the “In-Power” Calvia Council. He also seems to have a convenient loss of memory regarding his predecessor's “Eco-crimes”.
