IF you are watching your euros and still want to go on holiday what sort of package do you choose? Well all-inclusive obviously, because you know exactly how much you are going to spend on holiday before you actually go. Why have all-inclusive hotels become the unacceptable face of tourism? When times are hard surely they offer value for money? I understand that bars and restaurants suffer but in a free market it is the job of the business owner to offer something different so that tourists will leave their hotels. If you own a bar or restaurant near a hotel which is offering all-inclusive holidays it is not a great idea to offer exactly the same as what the tourists are getting for free in their hotels. With the pound continuing to struggle against the euro I can see more hotels offering all-inclusive deals simply because of demand. Unfortunately, some hotels in Majorca are too small to do so so they will suffer also. I have been told that the only businesses which have done well this summer were those who offered something different. Tourists do have money to spend but they are not going to part with it easily. If you offer value for money, an entertainment package and a friendly smile I am sure that you are going to do better than those that don´t!
