Dear Sir,
I WRITE with reference to your article on the annual grape fight in Binissalem. You may call it tradition, local culture or just fun for the locals and visitors. I call it shame and waste with hundreds of local people under the poverty mark and thousands of people in the world starving. Wouldn't it be better to give the grapes away free to those in need? The same applies to the fight of tomatoes in the mainland also reported in most newspapers recently.
