With regard to Mr. Tunnell's dictionary' definition of PLEB being an insult (Letters Saturday) may I point out that my Chambers Dictionary, that has been published for over 299 years, gives a lengthy description of pleb, plebian, etc. and in no way does it include its use as an insult or indeed as an epithet.
