In the early hours of Sunday morning, 110 people were evacuated from a hotel in S'Illot because of a fire.
Sant Llorenç Police were advised of the incident by the 112 emergency centre at 3.13am. Three police units went to the scene and officers began to evacuate guests after discovering smoke coming from one of the rooms.
The room itself was empty. Firefighters were able to establish that a bathroom extractor fan was the source of the fire.
A pregnant woman required medical treatment, a police officer suffered smoke inhalation and a hotel employee needed attention for a panic attack. Otherwise, no one was harmed by the incident.
Following ventilation and safety checks, the police and firefighters allowed guests to return to their rooms.
