The Mayor of Calvia, Juan Antonio Amengual, officially welcomed the new staff of the super luxury Hotel Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra which will be opening later this summer. The British-owned five star hotel has been recruiting staff with the help of the council.
The Mayor said that it was a proud day for Calvia that a hotel chain like Mandarin Oriental had decide to open in the municipality. He also praised the efforts of the staff and said that they would be ambassadors for the municipality.
The new hotel has 131 roms of which 26 are suites and 9 are private homes. It also has a wide range of facilities including top restaurants and a luxury spa.
