The Balearic Islands’ hotel scene has once again captured international attention in the prestigious Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards — one of the most respected annual accolades in the world of luxury travel. The 2025 edition has revealed the ten best hotels in Spain, as voted for by the magazine’s UK readers, and the fifteen best according to its US audience. Several Balearic establishments feature prominently across both rankings, reaffirming the islands’ reputation for exceptional hospitality and world-class service.

The Readers’ Choice Awards, which are based entirely on votes and reviews from Condé Nast Traveller readers, reflect genuine traveller experiences across the globe. Each year, they offer valuable insight into the destinations, hotels and resorts that have most impressed the discerning luxury traveller. For the Balearic Islands, their strong presence in the lists underlines their enduring appeal and ability to stand alongside the world’s most prestigious destinations.

Six Balearic properties were recognised in the Condé Nast Traveller UK rankings: Llorenç Parc de la Mar and Sant Francesc Hotel Singular, both located in Palma; Grand Hotel Son Net in Puigpunyent; Can Ferrereta in Santanyi; Experimental Menorca; and Petunia Ibiza, a Beaumier Hotel. Meanwhile, five establishments from the islands appeared in the Condé Nast Traveller US listings — El Vicenç de la Mar, Sant Francesc Hotel Singular and Can Ferrereta in Mallorca; Sa Torre Vella in Menorca; and Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay in Ibiza.

Boutique hotel group Nybau Hotels, which manages two of the award-winning properties — El Llorenç Parc de la Mar in Palma and El Vicenç de la Mar in Pollensa — expressed its pride in receiving such recognition. “We’re deeply grateful to our guests for their trust, to our partners and collaborators for their continued support, and above all to our team, whose dedication ensures the highest levels of satisfaction for every guest,” the company said in a statement.

The strong representation of Balearic hotels in these international rankings further cements the islands’ position as a leading destination for luxury tourism. With their blend of authentic Mediterranean charm, refined service and distinctive design, the Balearics continue to offer experiences that resonate with travellers seeking quality, culture and sophistication. The awards also highlight the region’s ongoing commitment to excellence — a standard that keeps its hotels among the most admired in the global travel landscape.
