What began thirteen years ago as a quest for a personal space—after years of painting in a corner between the kitchen and living room—has evolved into one of the island’s key centres for pictorial creation: the studio of Vivian Borsani. Vivian’s studio is a “Living Atelier,” where the artist produces works that later find their way into private collections, luxury hotels, and prestigious interior design projects by the likes of Justine Knox, Terraza Balear, and Isla Decor. After exhibiting across Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States, Vivian chose to prioritise direct engagement, welcoming clients and art lovers to her studio on Calle Fábrica in Santa Catalina.
Her clientele includes an international roster of collectors and prominent figures from sport and culture, who value the discretion and authenticity of acquiring works directly from the artist. In keeping with her philosophy of “giving back the gift” that discovering this historic creative haven—linked to the iconic Bar Gradiero—has afforded her, Vivian opens her studio once a year to female artists from around the world, transforming it into a shared exhibition space entirely on a voluntary basis.
“I feel fortunate and inspired by the international mix. That is why, once a year, I open my studio to other women creators, purely for the joy of sharing art,” says the artist.
