Carnival fever sweeps Mallorca this weekend with Sa Rua parades across the island on Saturday, from Alaró to Valldemossa, plus music and DJ parties late into the night. In Palma, enjoy Valentine’s duets at Fundació Sa Nostra, Maria Pagés’ flamenco at the Auditorium, and contemporary dance at Teatre Principal. Sunday’s big Sa Rua parade in Palma starts 5pm from La Rambla. Sunday night, Real Mallorca host Real Betis at Son Moix. Next week features Burial of the Sardine festivities and Wagner’s “Der fliegende Holländer” in Palma.

Friday, February 13

  • Cala Ratjada - 8pm: Sa Rua, Carnival parade plus party. Plaça Pins.
