This week’s cinema highlight is the heartfelt family drama Father Mother Sister Brother (2025), as Jim Jarmusch explores estranged siblings confronting unresolved tensions with their emotionally distant parents. Also new is the animated adventure The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants (2025), with SpongeBob facing the Flying Dutchman’s ghost and uncovering oceanic mysteries. Classic action fans can enjoy a special pre-New Year’s Eve session of Die Hard (1988).
