Palma City Council has revealed the plans for the much-loved Three Kings Parade, set to take place on 5 January 2026. The annual celebration will kick off at 6pm from Moll Vell, the historic seafront point that traditionally marks the arrival of the Three Kings by boat. Thousands of residents and visitors are expected to gather along the route to witness the colourful procession as it makes its way through Palma’s historic streets.
The parade route has been carefully mapped to provide an engaging experience for younger spectators while ensuring safety and smooth movement throughout. After the symbolic arrival at Moll Vell, the Kings will travel along Avenida Antoni Maura, passing through the iconic Paseo del Born, before moving on to Plaza del Rey Juan Carlos I and Calle de la Unión, which leads to the scenic La Rambla promenade. The itinerary is designed to maximise visibility and participation for all attendees.
The procession will continue along Calle del Barón de Pinopar and navigate the principal avenues surrounding the old town, including Avenida de Alemania, Avenida de Portugal, and Paseo de Mallorca. It will also pass through Avenida Jaume III, a key shopping street, before returning to Plaza del Rey Juan Carlos I and Paseo del Born and concluding at Plaza de la Reina. Council authorities will coordinate an extensive security operation to maintain order and protect participants and spectators alike.
Police, together with emergency services and civil protection teams, will establish secure perimeters along the route, with particular attention to areas likely to attract the largest crowds. Families with children are advised to arrive early to secure prime viewing spots. Specially designated areas for children and those with limited mobility will be clearly marked to ensure the event is inclusive and accessible for everyone.
The Three Kings Parade is a cornerstone of Mallorcan festive culture, blending centuries-old customs with modern elements. Historically, key locations such as Plaza de Cort and Paseo del Born have served as focal points for spectators hoping to glimpse Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltasar. Details of floats, performances, and decorations for 2026 remain under wraps, but organisers have confirmed plans to refresh the presentation.
The Three Kings are expected at Plaza Cort at 8.30pm for the official reception and crowd greeting.
For their part, the Three King's Royal Pages will arrive at Plaza Cort on Saturday, January 3rd at 11.30am.
