Tomorrow, Saturday, the streets of Ses Salines will once again come alive with art, music and culture as the town hosts a new edition of ArtinSal. Mayor Guillem Mas and councillor Sebastiana Gomila have outlined the programme, which continues to grow in scope and ambition.

Since its inception, ArtinSal has consolidated its position as a unique cultural event. “It has become a cultural landmark that allows us to showcase the talent of our local artists and all those who take part, while at the same time bringing culture onto the streets and into the daily lives of residents,” says Mayor Mas. “It is a way of valuing our cultural fabric and strengthening social cohesion through art.

This year’s edition features a number of special highlights to mark the Centenary of Ses Salines. Several artists will create live works on large-format cubes positioned at different points around the town. The programme for children and families has also been reinforced, while the music and gastronomy line-up has been expanded.

Participation has reached record levels. “We are bringing together more than 80 artists this year, and we expect attendance to comfortably surpass a thousand visitors over the course of the day,” explains Gomila. “Experience from past editions shows us that ArtinSal attracts not only locals, but also residents and visitors from across Mallorca.

Ten local artists will take part in the event: Concha Camarena, Mónica Sánchez, Salvador Llinàs, Cati Mesquida, Pep Molina, Carme Martín, Ileana Ostropolsky, Julia Kruft, Leo Sapere and Francesc Bonet. Their work spans installations, painting and photography, contributing to a diverse and dynamic cultural showcase.
