This Tuesday, work will begin on the second phase of the check-in terminal at Palma Airport, marking a new stage in the airport’s ongoing transformation and improvement programme aimed at enhancing passenger experience and operational efficiency.
The works will extend over the coming months and will result in one of the airport’s wings being taken out of operation during this period.
These improvements form part of the airport’s wider modernisation project, whose first phase has now been completed and is fully operational for passengers ahead of the peak Christmas holiday season.
From this week, construction activity at Palma Airport will move to the right-hand side of the terminal. New, clearly marked signage has been installed to ease passenger movement and improve access to the check-in and boarding areas.
This stage of the project includes the construction of a vertical core with staircases and lifts connecting the building’s three floors, as well as the refurbishment of airline offices and commercial areas, with the aim of optimising space and enhancing overall efficiency and functionality.
